Colin is after entering some teams in local 7's tournaments at the end of the season. I've offered my teaching experience (honest!) to help sort stuff out. if you're interested then can you let us know so we can look at possible tournaments.
If you think i'm crazy just look at the following reasons for playing
its sunny most of the time - no mud
usually involves the odd shandy
games are only 14 minutes long
no fat boys to tackle
winners usually get trophy and BEER!
I have more ammo up my sleeve but i'll save that for those players sat on the fence...

i was saving that one for nearer the time but as we've started, you're right its all about the show boating.
Spirito - how about we try a few if we score whilst playing for the Beests. I've got plenty of magic in the box...
Don't worry about all that fancy stuff like side stepping, just run over them or turn on the gas!

Please note that I have entered a team in the Ashby 7s on Saturday 13th May. There is a big 1st prize and worthwhile runner up and Plate prizes. Jackal has been poached by another team, so I am looking for a player to organise a team for this event. I'll get the details etc. but I don't want to organise the side (preferably a good one capable of beating the likes of North Derbyshire). Please can forum reading 7s players talk to candidates and try to persuade somebody to do this. It's not too onerous!

I'll have you know i wasn't poached. Just offered a substantial amount of the prize money if i put on a show. Considering how much i spend on fines moving between teams, the bank manager told me this opportunity could save legal action.
So get it in your diary - SHOWTIME Sat 13th May in Ashby. You'd be stupid to miss it

| Found out this week that tournament is over-subscribed so Ashby are only taking one team per club. Since the Italian Stallions are assigned to Derby and their entry got in first, they are that team. So if you want to play in the Ashby 7s, suggest you talk nicely to Tim Flower! |

Update - keep the first May bank Holiday free...
Its the derbyshire 7's at Ilkeston. I'll put some stuff up on the notice board as well to see whose interested.
So its official - May 1st is showboating and tricks day
PS - don't go forgetting those try celebtrations
