Just been on the above website to read match report from saturday and there have been some comments posted from Spain Have copied these below
"When I read that mark Bradley thought it was a good performance against Hinckley, I thought I must have watched a different game. The front 5 were beaten consistently. we lacked pace on the wing and for a long part of the season, there was a full back playing at stand-off, due ti Cowley's injury. It was not a good performance and Derby did not look capable of playing at the higher level. We need an old fashioned tighthead prop for starters. Gerry Gerry Sherry, Spain"

Don't see the problem. I don't want to be classed as a critic but the front 5 have been dominated in the majority of games I've seen this year. Weren't all Matlocks tries by way of the rolling maul?
For mine there is a lack of a big focal point in the second row. Nick Southern does a sterling job carrying the ball but a second row offering the same off the shoulder of 10 would surely bring the mobile back row into play a bit more?
I'm also an advocate of playing players in their set position, Full back playing stand off and scrum half playing centre are two problems. |

you all need to grow up we are supposed to be one club we should be working towards the same goals playing for each other , to many indivuals pulling in seperate directions devides , bickering dosent win games, promotion or respect. Many of us have given everthing to this season we have played our hearts out. stop hiding behind fake names make your selves known if you have problems with indivuals do what men do get it out in the open.

I have, but I'm only any good at the social side (and some would disagree with that)!

I think you all mis-understand the point of a public forum. It allows peoples opinions to be expressed. The key word here is "opinions", I think that allowing this forum to be in place is a great tool for open discourse and might help counter some of the bickering that has been mentioned, let things fester and they get worse.
I'm not expert on rugby but like to think I'm not always too far of the mark with my comments but to limit opinions being put forward on a basis of playing experience is non-sensical. I love the game but have never played to any standard but I'm sure my opinion is as valid as the next man or woman.
SO to summarise, i watch the games, i have nothing to do with the club apart from being a supporter and i try to call it as i see it, i don't own an axe so don't need to grind one. |

I have been pushing all season for certain members of the 2nd team to get a run out in the first team, because: A. They deserve it B. A team that does not introduce new talent as it comes along becomes stale. C. I am the second team manager, and should be pushing my guys interests.
The fact that Ben Coombes, Elliot and Fitch are now reguler members of the first team squad prove that the talent is there
Bradders obviously thinks that his selection is correct, otherwise he would change it. I think that a few more of the 2nds deserve a chance and have said so. This is not bickering, or divisive, it is people expressing their opinion, and should be encouraged.

listen ere joey johns, your right you can have your opinion however, lets not start trying to take a high ground by assuming us players dont understand a forum. keep expressing your opions but make sure you respect the people you are saying them do as they respect you by allowing you into the forum.
or you just may get an invite into scrummage practice to help you understand the finer arts a little better
you know we'ere watching |
