Posted - 23 October 2005 : 11:10:28 Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the whole idea of club nite's to include all areas(players, supporters, families etc) of the club to stay at the club later on a saturday.
So why did the court session have to take place behind closed doors and last for so long?
The Clubhouse was full when the players departed for it but was empty when they returned.
I realise that some things that happen in court sessions were not suitable for public consumption but surely with a bit of imagination a balance could have been struck between "nasty" and "entertaining".
The club needs to be united if we are to be successful going forward. The playing members should not become a club within a club otherwise they run the risk of other areas of the club "not getting behind them" as someone slightly famous recently quoted in the local press. |
