Posted - 22 November 2005 : 08:48:15 The 1st lottery went very well, with us well exceeding the 400 ticket target we had set, mainly thanks to the prodigious sales technique of The Arm, who weighed in with a hefty 200 tickets! Thanks to everyone for your support.
This week we had a couple of problems with people selling tickets but not returning them on time – if they aren’t with us by the time of the draw they are void! We had people in Reading selling tickets who managed to return them, so surely people from Derby can manage to get them in! Also, when selling tickets it is only possible to win if people actually fill in the numbers – there were a least 10 tickets returned with nothing on!
It would appear that there was no winner this week, as no-one has come forward to claim the prize and a hungover Brain ticket check not finding any winners. For those that don’t know the winning numbers were 4, 9 and 17. A couple of people had 4, 8 and 17, but being close doesn’t win anything!
This of course means there is a rollover for next week, with £200 going into the prize pot in addition to sales this week! |

Posted - 29 November 2005 : 11:34:21 The 2nd lottery was pretty successful again - but unfortunately the prize was again not won, so we have another rollover!
Estimated prize this week will be £600 - make sure you get your tickets before 6.30 on Sat. |

Posted - 24 November 2005 : 17:24:20 Every week the Tour Committee is organising a lottery, for which you need to pick 3 tickets from 24. If your 3 tickets are drawn, you take the jackpot (or share it if someone has the same numbers), which is 50% of all takings. If there is no winner, the prize fund rolls over. Tickets cost £1 each, and the draw should take place at 7pm (this may occasionally be delayed to allow the first team to get back from away fixtures).
Tickets are on sale from most tourists, and there will be some available in the club shop and behind the bar soon hopefully. Mark Gardner (Taffy) will be at the club selling them on saturday. |
