Colin is after entering some teams in local 7's tournaments at the end of the season. I've offered my teaching experience (honest!) to help sort stuff out. if you're interested then can you let us know so we can look at possible tournaments.
If you think i'm crazy just look at the following reasons for playing
its sunny most of the time - no mud
usually involves the odd shandy
games are only 14 minutes long
no fat boys to tackle
winners usually get trophy and BEER!
I have more ammo up my sleeve but i'll save that for those players sat on the fence...

Details for Monday:
We have two teams entered and if everyone who says they are turning out show up, i amy take up my position as manager.
Meet club 11.45 or let me know if you're going direct. need to register by 12.30 and the fun begins at 1pm at Ilkeston.
Remember tomorrow is your last chance to perfect any showboating antics before the big day. No one is allowed to try my 'Classy Dummy' as its now a Jackal trademark move

I've not heard the details of the Burton 7s, but does not sound good. By contrast, the Colts did really well in the Sandal 7s - read comments in Colts section for details. |

Well a big thanks to everyone for there efforts in Burton. I thought we'd struggle to get a team together, but the idea of tricks and showboating has unearthed some real 7's wannabeests...
lets just say our 14 minute experience at Burton was the curtain raiser to the Derbyshire 7's at Ilkeston on Mon 1st May.
We have entered 2 teams so a few more faces will be required. Also planning on making a day of it with BBQ etc... Sign up early on the noticeboard
Finally thanks to all the supporters who showed up to watch us get aour ****s whooped. Without your support the score would have been bigger

Sandal, not Sandbach (that's who we're playing on tour) and they are on different dates. Colts tourny at Sandal is 17th April, Easter Monday 11.00 register, 9.15 meet at Derby.
Senior 7s at Burton is 10th, 6.00 pm at Burton.
Please let Jackal know if you want to play. |
