Half Time: Kettering 3 Derby 3 With a man still missing for Derby at the start of the second half Kettering sensed their chance but after creating some good pressure they managed to lose the ball and their visitors cleared their lines, and from one such incident the Blues conceded another penalty and Derby took the lead from the resulting kick. So coming up to the final quarter it was all to play for, just three points in it, but with Derby perhaps now looking the stronger side, and then it all went wrong for the Blues as Derby suddenly ran riot, scoring four converted tries as the whole Kettering side just seemed to switch off doing all the basic skills. Anyway perhaps it was just one of those days, let’s certainly hope so, and lets hope they sort things out for next week as they travel to what are certainly new league opponents in the shape of Melton Mowbray."
