Nice one Finbar I hear the club are going to rename the beests the Turkeys for the very analogy you so astutely refer to or maybe the "sausages" as they always get battered, although it has been muted that "taxidermists" is better as they always do the stuffin - perhaps a new name poll is in order or shall we wait to see if madam Sadam's prediction for Warsaw comes true?

Fred Flintstone - another Norm alter-ego? Anyway, obviously another great wit. I apologise for my crap banter - I know where I'm not wanted anyway.

This is a bit like "question of Sport" where you have to answer the question befor the one that has just been asked!

No need to lighten the gloom Halibomber. We all have bad days now and again, and I reckon Walsaw are going to get flattened this weekend as they feel a backlash from the Mighty Beests.

I hope you two aren't having this discussion on company time.
norm Posted - 06 December 2006 : 11:25:55
Oh Archer dear boy, I think retirement may be the best option for you, or move to prop, where your banter skills could be put to good use as you clash skulls with a meathead... as for a groin injury, I thought you had one already, you seem to spend a lot of time rubbing it

sadam Posted - 06 December 2006 : 11:24:14
Ergo: drivel = banter. (Though not necesarily good banter)
halifaxbeest Posted - 06 December 2006 : 11:22:25
Oh Mr Collier, I do enjoy your banterific replies. I never really claimed to have any particular skills other than the skills of banter, 7s and making you look good - which I admit did take me most of the 80 minutes.
Maybe I should retire, or at least suffer a groin injury from warming up?
mwah,
Arch

Mr Archer,
Creativity can develop from training ground antics, that joking around moment suddenly provides a flash of inspiration for new and wonderful creative ideas.

As to your disproving of sadams equation of training + drivel + skill = banter, you also manage to do it without possessing any real skill

halifaxbeest Posted - 06 December 2006 : 09:09:55
Mr Collier, your equation is based on the assumption that 15 players have an equal distribution of flair - and you know what they say about assumptions. Also, is practicing a 'spontaneous' move true creativity - no. Play what you see. Also, I can disprove Sadam's equation of training + drivel + skill = banter. I manage to achieve banter with little to no training.

For people who don't really get it (see post above), this is banter - I don't mean it, just trying to lighten the mood when it all seems a bit doom and gloom. You don't become a bad team overnight. Also I'm just trying to rationalise why I don't train!

Love you guys....
