Posted - 17 April 2007 : 12:49:21 Just been on the above website to read match report from saturday and there have been some comments posted from Spain Have copied these below
"When I read that mark Bradley thought it was a good performance against Hinckley, I thought I must have watched a different game. The front 5 were beaten consistently. we lacked pace on the wing and for a long part of the season, there was a full back playing at stand-off, due ti Cowley's injury. It was not a good performance and Derby did not look capable of playing at the higher level. We need an old fashioned tighthead prop for starters. Gerry Gerry Sherry, Spain"

Posted - 20 April 2007 : 19:20:22 well while it is so quiet, i was talking to a few people who thought , in honour of our saviours, it may be a good idea if next season we name the club 'DERBY BRADLEY-IRELAND RUFC'.
thoughts please

good to see so much effort is put into the scrums. i think its about time we reopened the debate into getting your lads down with us. have a bastion for derby rugby both codes. its worked well at several premiership clubs. i know this has been muted in the past but it is time we brought it together. comments please.
tiler or irish or whatever his name is has been seen doing one armed press ups outside the abbey most dinners in a kick start to his new 1st xv promotions. what a fitmess freak he is. (the other arm will be seen holding his pint)

Posted - 20 April 2007 : 10:47:35 OK I have heard enough qualification to determine that Ireland is the man therefore we just need to vote for which position we believe he is best suited for (which could be all of them!) Let the poll begin.
Norm, when you say 'Half man' is that like a ladyboy? |

Posted - 19 April 2007 : 19:54:30 look you lot, i think it would be great for the club to get irish back into the frame.
his wealth of experience in the finer arts of socialising would be a great asset to the first team and he could always get his boots on when he doesnt have a hangover that saturday, probably inside centre, and show beckham and the boys a trick or two. god how Gerry would love that after naming him in his top two. plus positions of chairman of selectors and first team manager may quench his appetite for the wonderful game. lets start the pole.

Posted - 19 April 2007 : 16:09:51 Oldcorn, I stand corrected with the colts fixtures, I was saying occasionally 6, as there have been quite a few weeks where games have been cancelled by the opposition, free weeks for 1st team, etc, where not every team has played..

Posted - 19 April 2007 : 14:06:38 Alas, it would appear it is true then regarding the Ireland. Who will collect the subs for the Dev's next season!!
I think his run out alongside Knibbsy last week injected a dose of renewed enthusiasm and I think he is to partner Bradders in the role of scout looking at the colts on a weekly basis from the balcony!
I heard on the grape vine that he wants to become head of selectors. Lets start a poll I hear you cry! |

Posted - 19 April 2007 : 10:40:17 Joey J, thanks for the invite, let me know your email address and I can get the information from you.
Colin, I was going to reply to your note above last night but when I went into the home office one of the children had left MTV on and I was distracted by the Girls Aloud 'v' Sugar Babes video....compelling viewing!
In my praise for this years Colts who have made the 2nds and the Dev's I could only comment on the lads that I know and they are the one's who have played with my lad, Jordan, since the U7's at Keddie Road. I did mention Simmo as I know his Dad from supporting the Colts this season. I agree with your comment entirely with regards to previous Colts who have been elevated to the senior sides but I dont know who these lads are, therefore I was not being selective in anyway. You know from my touchline ranting and running up and down every Saturday/Sunday that I am the Colts biggest supporter and would love to see all of them getting senior side exposure (playing that is not Kenty naked!)
When you stated and I quote "Should have been 2 elevated to the first team though!!!" did you mean Andy Ireland? |
