Here's a copy of what's been written in the Club News page on the 2nd Oct'05 about the Club Night proposal ....
What's happened to the post match atmosphere at Haslams ? - where's the fun & games gone ??? Much discussion took place at the Club about this last night over a pint or two (hic) and a few bowls of custard which resulted in the 'Club Night' proposal being suggested, the idea being that once a month a Senior side will take responsibility for organising a post match event after their home match !!!
For October, first up it's the Wildebeests (Muuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh !!!), they shall take charge of next Saturday's post match entertainment !!! - yes some of our other Senior sides are playing away next Saturday but hey hopefully people can get back to the Club. The dress code is head gear. Any head gear will do, that's down to individuals to decide !!! - though no doubt if the 'beests think that what your wearing is not apt then no doubt there will be a forfeit of some sort !!!
Then in November it's down for the 1st XV to organise, a date has already been booked, the 12th Nov. Roger Milligan has come up with the idea of an I'm a Lady Night !!! - more details to follow in the near future !!!
Future dates will be discussed with the Dev XV, 4th XV, Vets XV and the Colts XV.

Sorry!! So excited at getting tinternet back forgot to be pedantic!!!!! I could however edit my post and make you look a prat!!!!!!
As for the Colts some are still learning about RUGBY and LIFE, good to see debutant Glenny taking part in the boat race, the rest are slowly getting the message. It's taking careful stewardship from C5W, Oldcorn and yours truly. By the end of the season the Colts will be a force to be reckoned with. Next years mob are already practising.
I predict a riot!!!!

Its spelt Beests!! Where were all the colts when it was time for the boat race....was it past their bed times!

I was nearly right. Pieces of hooker and centre were scattered all over the high seas. Which is a pity especially as the Colts could have done with Shucksmiths talent for the boat race!!! Well done beasts 2 wins in one day

I'm not sure South Leicester are that strong but if they are pieces of 8, scrum half, wing, hooker etc might all be there.

With the contraversial postponement of the Colts game (pitches were fine by 2.00), I am assuming that the match will be replayed next Saturday afternoon, so we should be able to combine with the Beests in an evening of merriment! |

Conirmed. The theme for next Saturdays club night to be hosted by the Colts is PIRATES. Anyone who wishes to join the Colts and Beests is more than welcome.

Just a word of warning though - the Colts may not be playing at home next week - depends on our Cup match today. I believe Rugby will also be playing a Cup match, so whether we win or lose I do not think we will be playing them next week. |

A "Club Night" is being hosted/organised by the Colts on Sat 26th Nov. Fun and games for all the family,( almost ) yes we will stay upstairs!!!!
Please, please, please put in an appearance if you are a spectator or a player without a game on that day. Your CLUB needs you. It just might be the best day of your life, can you afford to miss out?
