Posted - 15 August 2005 : 16:08:34 It would be great to get some feedback about the End of Season Ball. Sadly it wasn't as well attended as last year , so we'd like some feedback.
The venue - did people prefer it at Wild Park rather than the Assembly Rooms
The price - too much? Would you prefer it to be cheaper (maybe buffet instead of sit down meal etc etc)
Or was it all ok - just wrong date!
Any thoughts gratefully received !!

Posted - 24 August 2005 : 12:05:02 Hi Jen,
I unfortunately could not make this years ball, but I heard it was equally as good as the year before! I do not care what type of food is served as long as the bar is open.
Could I suggest we have a barn dance this year as entertainment, they are normally great fun and it gets everyone dancing early in the night. I have been to a couple of Balls like this before and they were brilliant. Obviously the band has to explain what the dance is all about and go through it step by step. It gets everyone together and gives the twinkle toes like me a chance to show off my dancing skills............Ha
Cheers

Posted - 16 August 2005 : 21:18:36 Hi Jenny - I'll start the ball rolling - excuse the pun !!!
I thought that both Balls were excellent, brilliant nights from what I can remember - well done to yourself and the other organisers.
It was a good idea to try a different venue as it can always be hard trying to repeat a successful event at the same venue. WPL was excellent and so too was the Assembly Rooms, both had their own uniqueness and aurora etc. Maybe we can flip flop or even Fox Trot between these 2 venues.
The sit down meals add to the occassion, especially with everyone done up to the nines (many were even 10's )
Yes it's somewhat expensive but you get what you pay for and for the sake of saving a few pounds why cutback on what is THE NIGHT of the Rugby Club Social Calendar
Well there's my initial 2 cents worth.
