Great win for the seconds today over higher ranked opposition in Market Bosworth. They won 56-0, but the biggest question is why were they not allowed to play on the first team pitch?? Are they not worthy as they are only the seconds?? Is the pitch in danger of being scorched by the blistering runs of the Reaper, Buss, and others?? It must have been fairly disappointing for players making their Derby debuts to be cast onto the outer pitches, and what about the opposition? what must they think........

Now come on we don't want this pitch cut up by rufty tufty oyks do we? One of our stars might turn a dainty ankle or tweek a well honed hamstring!!

Maybe the pitch needed resting after preseason training, and all the recent heavy inclement sunshine

The pitch should have been prepared as requested, however there seems to be a lot of teething problems with sorting pitches out for rugby teams! After all the idea of pitch preparation is fairly new to the rugby scene!
Well done Beests in whipping M Bosworth! Bring on the next.
