Posted - 01 December 2006 : 00:27:15 Meet at 10.15 for an 11.30 kick off. Dress code is shirt and tie.
For those who weren't at training tonight you need to know that those who were there ( including coaches ) feel that there is a lot lacking in team spirit.
Colin and I know that you have the ability to be a bl@@dy marvellous team with huge chances of winning major silverware but to achieve this you/we have to be as one. We all need to buy into the "team" ethic of training hard, playing hard and relaxing hard. All for one...etc.
This is all about TEAM and all I see is a lot of talented rugby players who turn up for training have no bonds and occasionally play well together!! You are more than that!!
Please think about committment to training, playing and spending some time with your mates who saved your #rs# during the match.
If any of you have got this far I'm impressed with your staying power. Please respond with suggestions as to how we can develop the idea of TEAM.
ps we are all going out before Xmas.
Alex will have the details on Sunday.
If you're still with me... let's kick ass on Sunday!!! This is one match Chesterfield aint going to win!!!!

Posted - 05 December 2006 : 16:49:21 Some people will do anything to get to the showers whilst the water is still warm. I remember, a few years ago, Callum punching the living sh*t out of a lad from Paviors in the first minute of an under 5's game, when the news got out that the kitchen was down to the last 400 burgers......... |

Posted - 03 December 2006 : 23:15:06 I gather he did. Very honest appraisal Adam, but I'm sure it was not all down to you. By the sounds of it we were looking to play rugby which is more than they were. We were missing a few, perhaps they were too, but we have to go to their place later on for a chance of revenge.
Talking of 0-0 draws, I once played in two condecutive 0-0 draws at the pinnacle of my rugby career, playing hall rugby at Nottingham Uni! After those two games we played some scintillating stuff in the next game to notch up loads of points.... well we won 3 - 0!! |

Posted - 03 December 2006 : 15:14:59 o.k. we drew 0-0 but we could have won if i hadn't have been so stupid. I think i was off the pitch for nearly a 20-25 minutes. Not what you need when you are playing a strong side. |
