Who's playing in the vets side against the Devs on the 28th December then? I can think of a few over 35's.

I expect great things with 2 of the Derbyshire 7s champions of 1988(ish - not sure of the year!) in the same team!

I expect to hear reports of some champagne rugby played

Do you think he will touch the ball and catch it?

I predict 3 tries for the wing of fire at the Asterdale

looks like a prop - how unkind, there was only colin cornfield, ralph knibbs , alex, andy fearn and johnny mabbit quicker than me on the day. Lovely running action though - check the arms out.

interesting to see how the chef (sorry, chief) beest fares without his herd to protect him and carrying that additional beef from all that christmas grazing.

hmmm, leesbrook - never played well there...

Yes a return to Saturday rugby for WOF, but with other injury prone returnees (Norm and Bonkers) taking precedence, he will be performing at the Asterdale this week!

Actually, just thought, Devs could be playing on the grand stage this week!

Just seen the photos on the website, nice action shot of WOF in full flight, though you looked more comfortable in the piccy alongside Brian and Davy (the Devs props)

And does Saturday see the long awaited return of Derby's injury equivalent to Jonny Wilkinson?

Did you contribute to the vets try whilst playing for the Vets, or was it your legendary defence capability that contributed?

I played mainly for the Devs - but also contributed to one of the vets fine tries.

Lovely to play against Eamon and Kenty again!

Which team did he play for?!
joemills Posted - 30 December 2005 : 15:22:34
Like many people, I had marked this date in the calender as the return of Steve Loomes, and I wasn't disappointed.

Nice to see some first team players watching the festive feast of rugby.

I feel sorry for Joe Mills though, he took one look at the opposition got his girlfriend to bring his kit and still failed to add to his try count. Well played the vets!!!!

Refereeeeee

steady JD....you might get me targeted!!
JD Posted - 22 December 2005 : 10:22:22
Legaulois in tight shorts.....mmmmmmmm

Can you wear the earing and bandanna too?
norm Posted - 21 December 2005 : 20:57:10
But Legaulois, there isn't a cup or trophy at stake!!!!

You won't need the sholder pads, as you won't close enough to anybody to tackle them, and my shorts would be too tight for you!
