I believe C5W has been charged with producing a Tour diary (remembering of course that some things that happen on tour need to stay on tour ).

Briefly though, we lost 7 - 29 to Sandbach, who were better than expected. If we had taken some of the chances we had in the first 20 minutes, I'm sure the game would have been a lot closer. Try was scored by Matt Shucksmith, complete with dislocated shoulder.

On Sunday our reluctant heroes gave Preston Grasshoppers a 3 try start with some insipid tackling, but when the hangover wore off stormed back. There was some confusion over the final score, but I think we'll call it a win!!

Knowledgeable observers may have noted that the comeback coincided with the introduction of the oldest Colt ever (yours truly) early in the second half. Looking full of running (ha-ha), the old fellah was ignored first by Simmo in a 2 on 1 yards from their line , then by Young-corn (who at least scored himself unlike Simmo).

Actually, just thought, Charlie's dad had 5 minutes in the first game, so I was nowhere near being the oldest Colt ever.

Anyway, a good tour was had by all and we look forward to Charlie's offering for some more fruity details
