Why was I not informed that players' dinner was last Friday? I thought it was this Friday! I was told this by someone who's not even a member of the club!

No-one texted, nothing on the website - assumed it was still coming up!

Now I'm mad

Sorry Mr. Beest, somebody should have contacted you, not sure why that did not happen, but I refer you to the "Club News" page on the website within a section dated 23rd April:

Friday May 23rd
Senior Players Dinner at Haslams 7pm

Not exactly "front page" I admit, but I believe the Webmaster was away in the week before and unable to give a more prominent reminder.

Sorry!

Given this, can someone please update who won what on the website?

I heard Norm won Vets' player of the year, but that's it so far!

Also, I've just noticed my terrible grammar. Players' dinner, surely?

That is a good spot. Well done sir/madam. However, I did forget about it and was not reminded. In my world, that equals someone else's fault, and frankly I'd fire their ass!

Back to the point, who won awards?

Having looked at the thread, I never acknowledged the date/time, I just voted for me for 'best person ever'. Ergo, still blame others.

Player of Year - Robbo
Players' Player - Owen
Young Player - Commbsey
Beest Player of Year - Pierrick
Beest Players' Player - Ryan
Young Beest - Corny

(Of course I spotted your grammatical error but did not dare comment on it bearing in mind the 'banter police' and all that!)

Just doing my bit for the kids Colin. If I can't be a role model for all the smaller minds, then who will take up the responsibility?

I left subtlety behind when I hit double figures! Too complex for me ... besides, I spent my rugby career telling forwards what to do, no room for subtlety there
