I've just been told that we potentially have a cricket match taking place next wednesday evening or thursday evening down at the Club. It all depends on the weather !!!
It's a friendly game between Derby Rugby Club and the University of Derby Rugby Club (so 15 aside then eh !!!).
Let's hope that the sun shines
We'll know either Monday evening or tuesday morning whether the game is on.

The Derby RFC side is still looking for players so if you fancy playing then please contact Michael Wise on 07773 787847.
If anyone has any cricket gear that they could bring along to the game eg. Pads, Gloves, Bats etc then this would great. Please let Michael know if you can bring / lend some cricket gear on the above number.

Censorship - surely not !!! - I think what Mick means by a picture is that of the 3 Smilies looking a funny shade of green, or should that be a sick shade of green

I don’t know how other people think about what I am going to say but here it goes. if you want to play rugby u go to a rugby club but if you also want to play cricket then please organize to play it some where else as the roped off section on the pitches is doing my head in. |

Pie Boy, the club doesn't just survive on the takings from September to May. It needs a source of income through the summer. Whether this is cricket, Roogby leeeegue or players coming down for summer socials, any way it can raise revenue needs to be looked at. Whilst you are at school or college learning how to spell, enrol in a marketing or business studies class and learn some basic economics on running a business. I'm sure you don't get by on the pocket money from 9 months. |
