As promised, here are the stats for the first half of the season, along with some comments from yours truly:

Half way through the season with 6 wins and 7 defeats, but worryingly in the last 5 matches there were 4 defeats. This period coincided with a number of injuries and also other less palatable unavailabilities. Without the assistance of the U17s (boosting the total number of players used to 36 already) we would really have struggled. Attendance at training recently has dropped and this needs to improve in the New Year if we are to achieve our normal level of success in the NLD competition.

As well as the appearance and try counts below, in terms of kicking Dan Brittan has kicked 24 points, George Polglass 5 and Michael Robertson 4.

Merry Christmas to all the Colts and a happy New Year. Keep fit and see you at training on 5 Jan.

I believe that means, of all tries scored, 7.1% of them were mine

That I had not! Clearly the true quality is emerging from the Derby pack! I promise thee, the next half of the season is going to see my phenomenal and final transition to number eight!

(You know it's true oldcorn , especially with the emerging hordes of second rows!)

Yeah we really must find you a game in the wide open spaces some time Charlie!! Trouble is who would win us the line out ball? We'd really have to run the ball all the time and never kick for touch. Yeah, lets go for it!!
