The hotel is booked. The first game ( Sandbach ) is sorted, all we need now are ideas for party games, fancy dress etc.
It has been agreed that it will be the "Debby Does Blackpool" tour so PINK will be an appropriate colour theme, the cost of tour shirts etc will be kept to a minimum. If anybody has ideas regarding any aspect of the tour please see the Colts management or use this forum.
If you have not paid your deposit to Colin you need to get it in soon or resign yourself to sleping on Blackpool beach. If you end up sleeping on the beach anyway you will not be entitled to a refund.
... and another thing - any senior players or other club members wishing to come on a more traditional rugby tour (i.e. in U.K. with some semblance of proper rugby as well as lots of booze) is welcome (not playing of course). Cost just under £100.
P.S. First game is on way up on Friday night in case you are thinking Sandbach is a long way from Blackpool!
i think u will find debby is spelt debbie on the orginal! i think all travel should be done in facny dress but it must be something pink e.g. a ballerina (mickey). Plus all players must have a tour song 2 be sung on demand!
On a slightly more serious note a large part of the tour costs will be the coach. If anyone has a mate or two who fancies coming along for the ride we could accomodate them. They would have to abide by tour rules. So far 21/22 are going we have a maximum of 35. The more we have going the lower the cost.
Good point, well made. We leave Friday 28th April at 4-4.30pm. Play Sandbach on route and hit Blackpool in time for last orders and then go clubbing!!!. Saturday is spent in Blackpool. Leave Sunday 30th am. and play a game on the way back..Preston Grasshoppers? Macclesfield? Arriving back at DRFC mid afternoon.
For your additional info the next day is a Bank Holiday.
I'm thinking more of midday depart Blackpool, match at 2.30 ish (allowing more time to shake off the inevitable) and back around 6.30 - 7.00. Have enquired with Preston but not heard back yet.
What do you mean!!!! I haven't been camping in years!!!
Talking of "camp" I'm getting a feeling of negativity about the colour of the tour shirt, I will pose a simple question ..PINK or WHITE. Let the tourists decide. Remember, all for one and one for all. Just make your bl##dy minds up.
