Come on Oldcorn surely you're not posting any old message ala Jon Tiz just so that you can collect your sheriffs badge

Nice to see Ed Odell back in the 1st XV for Saturday's game and I'm told that Matt Bates is on the bench for Saturday's game too against Towcester - just need Stu Cormack and we've got the original Three Musketeers - all 3 still have their pic on the Seniors Archive page taken a few years ago !!!

Good luck to the 1st XV on Saturday, looking forward to a cracking game - remember to smile for the camera - Come on Derby !!!

Damned!

You'll get your cider although at the inflated prices at DRFC it might have to be elsewhere unless I can take out a loan!!!

"Lend us a tenner and I'll buy you a drink." sang someone famous, but who??

Jon ... are we sado's or what, it's 00:40am and we're posting messages

However (hic) to answer your question of .........
quote:
"Lend us a tenner and I'll buy you a drink." sang someone famous, but who??

I seem to remember that the actual lyrics are .... "So lend me a tenner or buy me a beer" and if memory serves me right they're from a song called 'Bottle of Blues' by The Whiskey Preachers.

Is that 3 pints of cider that I'm now on

-----------------------------

...."rolling, rolling, rolling, keep that cider rolling, rawhide "

- so JT you're now changing the lyrics eh !!! - just for that audacious move I reckon the pint count now stands at 87 pints of cider to me - no doubt kevin dove will assist in gargling the odd pint or two (....or three or four - hic)

PS - and just in case you thought I was making the 'Bottle of Blues' song up, here's the 1st verse (with the immortal words of .... "so lend me a tenner or buy me a beer"

I'm grey faced and sweating with bloodshot blue eyes
Come sit at my table and I'll tell you my lies
I have no idea what I'm doing here so lend me a tenner or buy me a beer.

Don't try and outsmart a pedant Brian. Lend me a tenner AND I'll buy you a beer. Not ... OR buy me etc. My lyrics, my question. I win.

87 - 1 = 86 but as I won should that now be 88 to me. Of course I'll donate a few to Dovey.
