I expect a good turn out for training this week, which will be at the club, where we have the whole area (well all the bits not under water) to ourselves. Players who did not play last week need to be there if they want to challenge the player who took your place!!

Let's have most of you stopping for food afterwards too please.

This I have got to see! - how many out of 10 will the Tiz land through the uprights.....????
I assume we are talking ball kicking and not a "kicking" although it has been said by some of his minions that is what Mr Tiz needs!!!

You can be my tee boy Mutters.

I was actually talking about kicking from hand, however if you fancy some sort of challenge...Place kicks, drop goals etc bring it on. I bet Macca wouldn't be so gung ho, what does anyone who plays front row know about kicking, apart from Callum!!!

Don't bite Adam!!!

After my performance yesterday, i'd like to book a lesson with our kicking guru...

Do you have any literature or dvd's that may help me practice while not at training??

Any type of kicking would be useful

I can assure you there has been no kicking guru in the Colts for the last two seasons! We are the world's worst kickers - bar none! (actually Britto is not too bad I suppose!)

yes colin is correct. our kickers have missed kicks from in front of the posts before.

i think we should try other options at kicking like the forwards you we havn't been treid or tested yet.

let the forwards kick, we'll do better than the backs.

The kicking yesterday wasn't too bad. If anything you didn't use your biggest advantage - speed. Quick hands spreading the defense running at pace would have done the trick. not to mention straighter lines of running. The 4ths pack was not as mobile as yours, so by moving the left and right you would have made more gaps. Kicking is only one option and in my eyes the last as its giving the ball away. possession is the only way to score tries.

Your plan of attack should have been two up with the forwards then a move to the outside centre - m1 or dsp then the same again but then pass it out in the other direction.

You only kick the ball when you know you are going to get it back or there is no other option left to you.

9 - thats where its at!!!
10 - not bad either!!

Yes i do agree Finbar. we didnt play colts rugby, we let the Meisters play their game, which obviously was always going to be forwards forwards and more forwards and then kick to give the teritory. well done to the Meisters it was a good match.

If in doubt..... give it the forwards. BOSH!!
