In the NCA 2nd Team Championship The Beests are curently 3rd, behind Leicester Lions and Rugby Crusaders. Old Patesians are 6th, having played 4, lost 3, won 1.
I will post up the League table and results on the board at the club on Thursday night.

The Beests suffered successive Gloucestershire defeats as they went down 24-23 to a last minute conversion at Division 3 South Old Patesians. They were off to a flying start, down the considerable slope, leading 23-0 at half time, only to conceed 4 tries and 2 touchline conversions playing up the hill.
Tries from inform lord of the wings Louis Gandolfo, and Beest of the Match Dave "Double Decker" Bussell with 3 penalties and 2 conversions from Dan Hutchinson were not good enough on the day.
Good displays from Bonkers (welcome back), Steve Moore, Tris Poyser and Owen West, and a Beest debut for Alec Jardine on the wing.

Sorry if I'm being a bit demanding, but any chance of full match reports, pictures, words of the week? On my end we got spanked at the weekend, don't know final score cos was ont'way to A&E. My Dad offered words of encouragement - 'better retire', think it's time to take the old man's advice...

That's a very kind invitation BDW, but on form doesn't look like I'd break back row hegemony in the Beests! However, my current team doesn't play with the flair and verve that I'm used to - I ran a between the legs bounce ball switch on Saturday in training and got a bollocking... Also, the coach doesn't appreciate my ref chat(maybe he should have a word with Stu Cormack...) and chirpsing at opposition in Yorkshire tends to get you smashed, as opposed to banter battles which inevitably end up with comments like, "yeah, well you're sh1t". I've even bought some white boots a la Dancing Pete to try and bring some beest samba style to South Yorks!

P.S. Cracking result against Leicester Lions - they look tidy this year. Maybe the Beests should break away and become an autonomous club - maybe the Derby Wildebeest Globetrotters?

I disagree. I'm sure all the 2nd XV are proud to represent Derby Rugby Football Club and wouldn't want to play for anyone else!!!!
