Apparently Jonny mabbitt has started sprinting now in order to enter the devs backline in time to receive a pass!

He can only manage it once a game though!

Those poor old bandy legs of his would more suit a Chicken in Asda.

How unkind. As i understand it John is playing as a sweeper - its a new concept which we think will catch on.

WOF, brown nosing to the captain may not be enough to save your spot for next week,

I can't wait for Mab's match report, though i fear he may be so far behind play, it will take him until next wednesday to find out what happened in the game

oooh... you'd better hope you don't find yourself in the Devs Norm! Anyway, when has not knowing what happened in the game stopped Mabs from writing a beautifully poetic match report!!

It's only a matter of time before I step up to the plate and be counted in the devs!! (though I will try and nobble whoever is in the beests, like last week)

It's not a question of being able to keep up with the play - I strictly hang back in the line to add more impact from the deep! I sense here a little insecurity from those aging players who wonder whether they have the stamina to play for several more years.

"I strickly hang back and add more impact deep"

Should someone tell Mabbs he's got the rugby noticed board and not the "Pervy" one he normally posts on???

Yes Norm - I think you have it! Anyway thanks for the phone call of desperation today when you thought the 2nd team game was going to be cancelled. Obviously I'd love to have you bringing the oranges on at half time for the Devs, but I'm afraid you'd have to take your place in the queue behind the other more talented fruit carriers. I'm sure when you get old enough you'll be considered though!

You were actually my second call, Pat Broderick was my first, offering me as many oranges as I can carry onto the pitch, I was phoning you to see if you could up the offer!!
