All,

The inaugural cricket match(es) will take place at Derby RFC on Friday 28th July. All are welcome and sides will be decided on the night. Captains are Jim Smith and Me at the moment, with the possibility of a 3rd or even 4th captain if numbers demand it. I am going away today so if you are interested in playing please let Jim Smith (or announce it to the world on the forum) know so we can work out numbers and match formats.

Also if you have any kit and equipment can you bring that too.

There will be a BBQ too, so if you are coming and not playing, or bringing girlfriends / family etc let us know so we can ensure there is enough food.

If it is a success we may even do it again!

Cricket is going to make a second appearance at DRFC on the 25th August, all are welcome so please either post a message or contact me or Jim Smith to let us know you want to play.

Last time it was a real success and a pleasure to play on such a well groomed wicket.

Start time is 6 for 6.30 prompt start, otherwise it will be dark before we finish!

Real shame this - sorry I didn't reply, I'd have been well up for some cricket! Maybe this should be better advertised and revisited next year??? Maybe we can have a DRFC team in a league?
